Friends, I truly have a teacher's heart. I’ve taught art since 1996 in many different capacities finding myself drawn to teaching what I love about painting the most rewarding. My personal body of work is always evolving as I too immerse myself in learning from others, the daily practice of putting the brush to a canvas or a pen in a sketchbook. I am currently a high school art teacher by day spending as much time as I can at night and on weekends developing my own artistic style. My work focuses on the whimsical side of all subject matters. From a cat driving a pick-up truck to a bouquet of wild daisies, the common thread running throughout my work is the use of bold colors, strong lines and well planned compositions that tell a story unique and engaging to viewers of all ages.
I enjoy sharing my love of painting with others, stressing along the way that finding your authentic voice is key to the growth of your own creative experience. In my e-courses I will be inspiring you to paint something personal to you, making this on-line experience as relatable as possible. Through simple directions and inspirations along the way I'll be guiding you through the creative process so that in the end you feel at ease with the materials and excited about the potential to create more. You will be a doer. a dreamer. and most important......AN ARTIST.
